Thank you for your email

This is great news to hear that you are wanting to explore the world of 3D printing, trust me, it's addictive!

This is the advice we give all customers that are new to 3D printing, most are filament related but I added a few other helpful tips for you.

Regarding filaments types to use, we recommend purchasing filaments that are 1.75mm in size as our stock 3D printers can only take that size. For those that are new to 3D printing, we do recommend starting off with PLA filament only, just normal PLA to start off.  PLA filament is the most forgiving filament and is the easiest filament to use without upgrading a printer. Other filament types such as ABS, Nylon, Carbon Fiber, and other exotics require upgrades to a printer, such as an enclosure to keep the heat in and a new Wham Bam bed. However, keep in mind, not all printers can print harsher exotic filaments and at times even ABS, this is research you will need to do. Without these upgrades, you will not be able to print ABS, Nylon, and other exotics successfully. A filament like ABS is something to stay away from for now until more experience and skill is gained. PLA will be the best starting point for you and you will be able to print fantastic items from the get-go.

Regarding filament brands, we do recommend taking a look at Esun PLA, Fillamentum PLA, Sunlu PLA, and CCTree PLA. Kindly see the links below

The slicing software we suggest using is called Prusa Slicer. This system is more accurate than others and it's free to use and download, here is the link below.
